Head of HR for a Global Insurance/Underwriting Company in the City of London/US – R&Q Investment Holdings Ltd
The previous Head of HR left the organisation and there was a period where the recruitment process had concluded. The company understood it needed a senior level HR person to support their global organisation, and travelling to US and other countries was part of the remit; as was re-evaluating what the structure of the HR team and their role within the organisation would be.
Realigning the ‘People Strategy’ and delivery with the overall strategy of the business and ensuring that short, medium and long-term goals could be achieved by the organisational design of the business. This was for an initial 12-week period, but did continue on a part-time basis for a period of over two years and provided the company with stability and the ability to tap into the experience and expertise that they would not normally have recruited for.
